Gemma specialises in all aspects of commercial law. Gemma has experience providing advice on business start-ups, buying and selling businesses (through asset or share sales), structuring commercial arrangements (including drafting shareholder agreements and company constitutions), intellectual property, licensing and franchising agreements, contracts for services or supply, banking and financing, agri-business and commercial leases.
Gemma focuses on providing straight forward and strategic commercial legal advice. She aims to help create a solid legal foundation for new and existing businesses so they get the best head start, execute their plans and are set up for long term success.
After graduating from the University of Canterbury Gemma spent her first five and a half years practicing at law firms in Christchurch. She then spent two years working overseas in British Columbia, Canada before returning to New Zealand to be closer to her family.
When not at work Gemma can be found enjoying her time getting outdoors through running, mountain biking and tramping.
