Graeme has had in excess of 35 years legal experience since commencing practice in Queenstown in 1981.
Over the years Graeme has become a trusted legal adviser to his clients including local, private and corporate entities, overseas residents and multinational corporations, local authorities and numerous community groups and sporting clubs. Graeme acts for second and third generations of the same families. He has been involved as an adviser in many significant commercial and property transactions and developments in the Queenstown Lakes District during his time in practice.
Graeme has considerable experience as a primary adviser on applications and proceedings under the Overseas Investment Act which is a specialist area of property law for overseas persons wishing to acquire property and businesses in New Zealand. He has considerable experience advising on the acquisition of large farms.
Graeme also continues to provide specialist Resource Management / Environmental Law advice as a senior member of the Resource Management Law bar. During his career Graeme has acted on some of the largest Resource Management cases in the Central Otago area.
In 2009 Graeme’s service to the law and the community was recognised with his appointment by the Archbishop of Canterbury with a South Island warrant to act as a Notary Public.
Graeme is also a trustee and honorary solicitor for a number of community organisations.
