Employers in New Zealand need to brace for further changes as the Employment Relations (Triangular Employment) Amendment Bill takes effect on 27 June 2020.
The predominant purpose of the triangular bill is to ensure that employees employed by one employer but working under the control and direction of another business or organisation have the ability to add a third party to a personal grievance – if the party has caused or contributed to any mistreatment.
TODD & WALKER Law encourage employers to review their current contractual arrangements and identify any potential “triangular” relationships which would be affected by the Bill. If you have any questions about how this may affect your business, please get in touch with one of our Employment team who can assist.
