Welcome to the team - Robbie Bryant

We are very excited to introduce Robbie Bryant as the newest member to the TODD & WALKER Law employment team.

Joining the team as a Senior Associate, Robbie has over 11 years’ expertise in all areas of employment law and human resources.

Robbie has experience assisting clients from start-up businesses and employees at all levels including senior managers and executives, through to some of New Zealand’s leading public and private sector organisations.

Robbie works alongside businesses to provide practical solutions to employment issues ranging from complex restructuring and disciplinary issues; defending and pursuing personal grievance and other claims; enforcement of restraints of trade; internal and external investigations; termination of employment - misconduct, medical incapacity, abandonment of employment; through to day-to-day employment relations management including drafting employment agreements and associated workplace policies.

An experienced litigator, Robbie represents clients in the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court, and he has made appearances in both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. Robbie is regularly asked to appear for clients in mediations and has also appeared before the ACC Review Authority and Human Rights Commission. Robbie also has experience in conducting external investigations and mediating disputes.     

Robbie spent the first 10 years of his career working in Auckland in Chancery Chambers as an employed barrister specialising in employment law and then worked for a leading boutique employment law firm before making the move to the South Island in 2020 to call Wanaka home.

Robbie will be a key member of the employment team and adds more specialised depth and experience to our employment practice. Robbie will be primarily based in the Wanaka office but will also work with clients in Queenstown and spend time in the Queenstown office.
