Senior Promotions in the team

Todd & Walker Law is pleased to announce the promotion of two new Senior Associates and two Associates within the firm.  The firm’s newest Senior Associates are criminal and family law specialist Louise Denton, and property, commercial and family law specialist Pip Roberts. The Associate promotions are civil litigation and employment expert Fran Hesp and commercial and property specialist Jessica Weinberg.

Louise is a criminal defence expert; an experienced litigator she has appeared in numerous High Court appeals and Parole Board hearings and is a well-respected lawyer for all manner of criminal and quasi-criminal matters. Louise is also leading the firm’s family law work in the areas of domestic violence and care of children following separation and other associated family law matters. 

Pip adds to the firm substantial experience in the areas of residential and commercial property conveyancing and has strengthened the firm’s involvement with a number of large subdivisions. Pip also leads the firm’s family team in the area of and relationship property, regularly drafting relationship property agreements for clients.

Fran specialises in all aspects of employment law matters including company restructures, employment disputes and negotiating employment agreements. Fran is extensively experienced in civil and commercial litigation with particular expertise in debt recovery, insolvency and dispute resolution. Fran has demonstrated her experience in these fields by advising some of the firm’s clients on a full spectrum of civil and employment issues including large employers, medium sized enterprises and individual employees. 

Jessica is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer specialising in commercial property transactions, share and asset sales, shareholders agreements and banking and finance. Jessica also regularly acts on large residential property conveyancing and has specific expertise in obtaining consent under the Overseas Investment Act for the purchase of New Zealand assets. 

These promotions are evidence to the hard work of these individuals and of the valued role they play within the supportive teams in the firm and their provision of sound and responsive legal advice to their clients.
