TODD & WALKER Law is delighted to announce three promotions in the firm. Congratulations to Laura McPhail and Sarah Ogilvie for their promotions to Senior Associate, and to Megan Waller for her promotion to Senior Solicitor.
Laura is a commercial and property law specialist. Based in our Wanaka office, Laura regularly acts for a wide range of clients, from start-up business to large scale commercial clients. Laura has a particular expertise in advising on commercial contracts and transactions as well as large-scale property development projects and subdivisions. This includes advising on business and project structuring, sales and purchases, financing, shareholder/joint venture agreements, leases and general legislative compliance. Laura has a strong affiliation with the Queenstown Lakes District and has spent all of her legal career working in either in Queenstown or Wanaka.

Sarah is a trust and estate planning specialist in the firm’s property and commercial team. Sarah is the firm’s in-house trusts expert and has recently completed comprehensive trust reviews for the firm’s large number of private trust clients in light of recent legislation changes. Sarah also specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing, subdivisions and developments, refinancing, personal and business asset planning, leases and estates. Sarah has also spent her career working in Queenstown and wanaka and hosts a wealth of local property knowledge.

Megan is a criminal and family specialist in the litigation team. She regularly appears in the Queenstown, Invercargill, and Alexandra District Courts often conducting Judge alone trials and opposed applications. Megan is a key part of the firm's family and relationship property team, which involves care of children matters following separation, domestic violence matters and relationship property disputes. Megan has strong ties to the South, having grown up in rural Southland and is now proud to call the Wakatipu Basin home.
